Benji's Story

Benji came to Three Counties a while ago after having a bad time in his previous home.  He had been shut in a small cupboard under the stairs every day. Due to this experience he spent hours running around in a circle in a 'chasing his tail fashion' and was a very stressed dog.  Benji was looked after by Three Counties for a long time before he was re-homed.  He did not present himself well in the kennels due to his stress and no-one was interested in offering him the loving home he deserved.  Eventually Benji was spotted by Jackie and Tony who saw in him the wonderful dog he really is.  Benji is now called Bungo.  He is a happy, friendly, mischievous and loving boy who very much enjoys meeting people.  Bungo is now doing his bit in raising funds for Three Counties Dog Rescue.

Bungo makes regular guest appearances at our fund raising events with his 'Mum and Dad'.  (Please see our 'Events and Latest News' page for further details).  Come and see for yourself the difference a loving 'forever' home can make to the life of a sad, unhappy dog.  See Bungo 'strutting his stuff'!  He's just waiting to be cuddled and stroked!

Our dear Bungo is even more famous!  His story was featured by the Kennel Club press office and made it to Crufts!  The full article is available from the press office but the following link will give you some information.
