In this section you will find a selection of dogs that, subject to a satisfactory assessment, are available for re-homing from Three Counties Dog Rescue.

If you are thinking about bringing a dog into your life, think hard.  The range of sizes, shapes and personalities of dogs is magnificent.  So too are their needs.  Consider the information for each dog carefully and be sure you make the right decision.

Please, please give the older, the plainer and the larger dogs a second look.  Older dogs have an amazing capacity for love and loyalty: the plainer dogs are wonderful characters which more than makes up for their lack of good looks; the larger dogs are often gentle giants.  These dogs are equally as deserving of a loving home and a happy life.

We presently have a number of beautiful cats available for re-homing.

Please do not hesitate to contact Gyll Mauchline for further details and advice about any of our dogs or cats on:

Thank you to Marc Moggridge of Burghley Veterinary Centre, St Leonard Street, Stamford for taking our latest photographs.

Buddy No Longer Alone

They're coming to choose a pet today, let it be me - PLEASE LET IT BE ME!                            I'll be so good in every way, if they'd only choose me,                                                                I've waited so long for a home of my own,                                                                                With someone to love me - no longer alone,                                                                                   I must try to keep calm and not show how I feel                                                                          Or they'll think I'm too lively, but it's hard to keep still.                                                               With my heart beating madly I wait patiently,                                                                            Then suddenly they're here - they're looking at ME!                                                                   They smile at me and tickle my nose,                                                                                        Then move to the next one in the rows.                                                                                       My moment has passed, it was not to be.                                                                             Perhaps I was foolish to think it could be.                                                                                   But wait - they're back, they've entered the run,                                                                         They give me a cuddle and say, 'That's the one!'                                                                          Oh joy of joys they've chosen me!                                                                                               At long, long last, it's going to be ME!
